The Web has opened up tremendous opportunities for creative individuals working in various forms of media, particularly those adverse to living in congested cities and battling with the mental and physical toll inflicted by the excesses of modern civilization. I've been fortunate to be able to take the skills acquired over a decade of working in Silicon Valley and—from a rural outpost in Vermont—participate in projects all over the world.
As a model for the future and a worthwhile endeavor in the present, telework or telecommuting or virtual project teams offer a healthy alternative to fossil-fuel dependent commuting. Given that we have maybe only a few years left to minimize the course of our planet's climate disruption, we all need to think of ways to reduce our energy consumption, live simpler lives, and use technology more wisely.
It's a challenge and one that isn't going to disappear anytime soon. In the meantime, I've developed this site as a way to reach like-minded individuals and socially responsible businesses—with the goal of launching new projects, engaging in hopeful dialogs, and extending my work in beneficial directions.
Thanks for stopping by to visit.
“Only on the fringes of an ecosystem, those outer rings, do evolution and adaptation occur at a furious pace; the inner center of the system is where the entrenched, non-adapting species die off, doomed to failure by maintaining the status quo. Businesses go through the same cycles.”
